Benefits of CBD
You can hardly ignore it: CBD oil. More and more people are using it. Not surprising, since the reports about its effects are very positive. But what exactly is CBD oil? And how do you use it? We explain it to you.
What is CBD?
CBD means cannabidiol. It is an active substance extracted from hemp. This does not mean that it gives you a high feeling. THC is the substance in hemp that gets you high. These are psychoactive effects of a substance. CBD by itself has no psychoactive effects.

Endocannabinoid: a substance that is naturally present in the body
Our bodies also produce cannabinoids. This is called the endocannabinoid system. What exactly this system regulates is still being researched. This endogenous system is involved in physical and mental processes. The endocannabinoid system regulates body processes related to, among other things:

Is CBD oil the same as CBD oil?
CBD oil is hemp oil, not CBD oil. This does not get you high and it is legal in the Netherlands. CBD oil is THC oil. It does get you high, and it is not legal in the Netherlands.
How to use CBD oil?
First you choose the oil with the dose of CBD that suits you. Usually you can choose between a CBD content of 2.5%, 5% or 10%. Which quantity suits you, depends on your symptoms and how severe these symptoms are. It is always advisable to ask your doctor for advice.
Many people don’t like the taste of CBD oil. In that case you can choose an oil with an added flavor, such as peppermint. Or you add a drop to your food or drink. Then the CBD is less well absorbed by your body. Besides oil you also have CBD capsules to take. For skin problems you can use CBD ointment.
The use of CBD oil is very simple. This oil comes in a bottle with a pipette. With this pipette you drop the CBD oil under your tongue. There you keep it for half a minute to a minute before swallowing. This way the CBD can be absorbed by your body.
For some complaints, you only do this in the evening. With other complaints, the dosage can increase to several CBD drops per day. So how many drops differs per person. Click here for more info on CBD oil.

Benefits of good CBD oil
If you want to buy CBD oil, we recommend choosing one of the well-known brands. Do you choose cheaper bottles from a shady website? Then you have a big chance that there is less or even no CBD in it. And even more important: some bottles contain too much THC. Then you still get high from the oil, and that is of course not the intention. In this blog, you can read what the possible CBD oil side effects are.
So choose a reliable source and a known CBD brand.
